Gerald Connor founded Cumberland Private Wealth Management Inc. (“Cumberland Private Wealth”) together with three other partners in 1997. Today, he is Chairman of Cumberland Partners Limited (“CPL”) and its subsidiary, Cumberland Private Wealth. He continues to be active in an investment management role and has responsibility for managing a significant base of clients to which he brings over 40 years of investment experience.

Mr. Connor is Chairman and portfolio manager at Cumberland Investment Counsel Inc., Cumberland Private Wealth’s affiliate. Prior to this, he was a founding partner of Connor, Clark & Company, Connor Clark & Lunn, and 20/20 Investment Management, which collectively managed over $16 billion for high net worth clients, pension plans and mutual funds.

Before that, Mr. Connor managed discretionary funds at Baker Weeks of Canada and headed the Canadian operations of Francis I. DuPont and Co. He is currently also a trustee of Allied REIT and a director of SQI Diagnostics and was a director of the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Foundation in Toronto for 14 years, and director of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre for 2 years.
